A change of direction, a debut on the Pass in style!

The diamond tip ofXbox Games Showcase 2024 was, obviously, the already announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6who not only opened the digital event, but also took a nice space at the end of the broadcasts for a dedicated Direct (you can find it at the end of the article), which went into detail about the development of the team all stars put together by Activision Blizzard, combining Treyarch and Raven Software.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as usual, it will offer a substantial single-player mode, characterized by various game styles, and a very high level multiplayer with 12 6v6 maps and 4 strike maps playable in 2v2 or 6v6, also including the Classic Prestige and Theater modes in addition to the ability to use HUD presets to move the mini-map and remove HUD elements, resulting in a minimalist interface. There will also be the big return of the fan-favorite Round-Based Zombies mode. All modes will receive content updates after the game’s launch.

At a gameplay level, however, the greatest innovation is to be found in the “Omnimovement” system, which allows players to sprint, dive and slide in any direction, combined with the possibility of rotating 360 degrees in a prone position, guaranteeing players Black Ops 6 unprecedented freedom of movement and tactical flexibility. Motion innovations also include new Intelligent Motion and Corner Slicing capabilities.

The main campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set in the early ’90s, after the events of Black Ops Cold War, and is linked to the ’80s flashbacks of Black Ops 2. In development we find Raven Software, which is preparing an epic narrative, which deals with a Engaging government conspiracy and a unique spy thriller, taking the player to travel the world. We’ll also meet iconic characters like Frank Woods and Russell Adler, with new allies including Troy Marshall and Jane Harrow.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available globally on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Battle.net, Microsoft Store, and Steam from 25 October 2024. The Black Ops 6 Open Beta will be free on all platforms, and players who pre-order will get early access.
