Zakharova: Moscow will respond to France if it touches Russian diplomats
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova promised that Moscow will respond to France in the event of any measures against Russian diplomats. She wrote about this in her Telegram– channel official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“If our diplomats are touched, they will receive retaliatory measures,” she said. The diplomat also expressed the opinion that the West defends freedom of speech only when it is necessary to criticize unwanted regimes.
Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry threatened the Russian Embassy in Paris with consequences because of the words of the diplomatic mission’s press secretary Alexander Makogonov and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that French military instructors sent to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces.
The French Foreign Ministry called their words outrageous statements that will not remain without consequences.
