For the second year in a row, the UAE won a prestigious award at the annual World Summit on the Information Society Awards “2024 WSIS 24”, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), for the “Cyber Pulse for Youth” initiative, amid the participation of projects and initiatives submitted by more than From 193 countries.
The results were announced during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva.
The UAE topped the world in obtaining the highest number of awards from the World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva, which reached six prestigious international awards, which reflects the UAE’s global leadership position in benefiting from advanced technology to achieve sustainable development goals and improve the quality of digital life.
The Cyber Security Council won the award for the “Cyber Pulse for Youth” initiative that it launched, outperforming a number of projects submitted from around the world.
Winning the award is the culmination of the UAE’s firm commitment to building a safe and reliable digital society, in light of continuing efforts to develop and enhance the country’s capabilities in the field of cybersecurity. “Cyber Pulse for Youth” aims to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, and enhance their skills in this field through a series of activities that provide young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves from electronic threats.
