North Korea is sending more balloons carrying garbage across the heavily fortified border into South Korea, the South Korean military said on Saturday.
It had already sent hundreds of balloons carrying garbage and waste earlier this week.
Today, South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik described this behavior as “unimaginably petty and low.”
A statement said that the South Korean army asked residents not to touch the balloons and to report them to the authorities.
North Korean state media reported on Friday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised a weapons training exercise the previous day, during which a barrage of missiles was fired from rocket launchers.
The reports added that the goal was a show of force directed at South Korea, and that a launch control system was used that is part of the “nuclear weapons management system.”
