Forecaster Shuvalov: in early June the temperature in Moscow will drop to 22-24 degrees
Abnormally hot weather at the end of May does not mean that Russia will have a hot summer, said Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecast center. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he promised that in early June the temperature in Moscow would drop to 22-24 degrees.
Despite the fact that weather forecasters predicted 31 degrees in Moscow on May 31, in general May in the capital will be 1 degree colder than usual, the specialist noted. The fact is that the first half of the month was extremely cold, and even the warmth that came in the second half of the month could not correct the situation, he explained.
According to the weather forecaster, based on the fact that the last days of May were hot, one cannot conclude that exceptionally hot weather will last all summer. According to Shuvalov’s forecast, the weather in the first ten days of June will no longer be so abnormal.
Now the situation is changing in the atmosphere. Gradually, by the middle of the week, the temperature will drop to a comfortable 22-24 degrees, and there will be no question of plus 30. This will be facilitated by rain showers. The heaviest precipitation is expected on Monday; up to 20 percent of the monthly norm may fall. So we will slowly forget about the heat in early June
Earlier, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a specialist at the Meteonovosti news agency, warned that the air in the capital on Friday, May 31, would warm up to an extreme 30-31 degrees.
Due to the heat, the Moscow municipal services complex is urgently recommended citizens should avoid prolonged exposure to the street, reduce physical activity and drink more water.
