“Change will not come if we wait for another person or another time. We are the ones we were waiting for. We are the change we seek.” Barack Obama.
It is well known that the policy what they offer us is quite boredthe periods of elections They seem eternal and feel like a movie marathon that we don’t want to see and that we are somehow forced to attend.
In an era where information is at our fingertips and social changes They occur at a dizzying pace, where we have powerful tools at our disposal to convene and generate impact, it is precisely where it is most difficult for power groups to limit participation and it is where it also forces us to get involved in an increasingly active way. Voting is a right and at the same time a civic obligation, which allows us to shape the future of our community.
Vote It is one of the most direct and powerful ways to express our opinioneach vote It is a statement of values, priorities and aspirations for our future. By voting, we not only elect our representatives, we are also participating in making decisions that will affect aspects of our lives, from education, freedom, justice, job opportunities and even the environment.
The time has come to break a very convenient stereotype for the political class, people are no longer interested in politics, voting does not only represent an individual act, it is at the same time, an act of solidarity with our community. Participating in elections is also contributing to collective well-being, it is exercising our right and being participants in our community, even when this involvement requires a little more effort in our activities, if you were a polling station official, party representative or neutral observer, it must be done with a high dose of responsibility, patriotism and a sense of civility.
Today, when our country seems to be living in troubled times, it is time to stop turning left or right to look forward, seek to advance towards our common goal, a prosperous, modern, free and safe Mexico, the only way to move forward. to generate social changes or to demand from our representatives, begins with our participation and precisely the first step to show our commitment to a better tomorrow begins with the vote. Not voting means giving our voice to others, allowing someone else’s interests and perspectives to prevail over ours, it’s like organizing a party together but allowing only one person to choose the music and food. In an increasingly complex world, where minorities assert their voice and demand solutions and where each political decision can have significant repercussions, the participation and involvement of the largest possible number of citizens becomes vital.
Mexico is experiencing a crucial moment in its history. The decisions we make today will determine the world we will live in tomorrow, which is why we should not underestimate the power and commitment that voting implies, it is the first and at the same time the most powerful tool to transform society.
Let’s not stay on the sidelines, democracy definitely needs to be perfected but it needs participation, it needs voices, different visions, let’s not choose silence, the call is strong to take control of our future. VOTE. Because every vote counts, and yours can be the one that makes the difference.
