The FIGC Federal Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the expulsion of Bari footballer Nicola Bellomo during the match won 3-0 by his team on the Ternana pitch on Thursday 23 May, in the second leg of the Serie B play-outs. Bellomo did not he took the field in that match and, as the Dazn images show, he was sent off in the 33rd minute of the second half by referee La Penna, with his team already leading by three goals, after arguing with a ball boy from the bench . The Federal Prosecutor’s Office is investigating after reports of some bets on Bellomo’s expulsion, made before the start of the match.
