Shams Jorjani, the new CEO of Arrowhead, has urged the Helldivers 2 community to remain civil. He did so in an open letter published on Reddit about the future of the game, in which he also spoke about the new role of former studio head Johan Pilestedt. According to what Jorjani declared, the team will continue to work closely with Sonyadding new content to the game and maintaining an open dialogue with the community.
“I instructed [Pilestedt] to be the Obi-Wan of the many ‘Luke’s of our studio”, wrote Jorjani speaking about the future of Helldivers 2. “If everyone will hear the wise voice of [Pilestedt] in their heads when they have to balance weapons, design missions or enemies, so much the better. That doesn’t mean he’s always right… but we’re going to keep him on his toes, and he’s going to keep us on his toes.”
Relationships with Sony
In the letter, Jorjani calls PlayStation a “fantastic partner”, adding that Arrowhead will “continue to work closely with Sony and improve the game for as many people as possible.” This is an expected statement, considering the conflicts between the two companies due to Sony’s attempt to pass the obligation to have a PSN account to play on PC.
After talking about wanting to create an infrastructure that supports the addition of new content, Jorjani says he wants to keep the dialogue open with the playersbut hopes the community remains civil: “Pilestedt and I will always be active, but we will be even more active if things are more civil and fun. So I ask you to help us make the atmosphere positive for everyone.”
