The PGA Championship promises to have one of the most exciting definitions in its history this Sunday. Eight players are separated by just three strokes and two of them share first place.
It was a spectacular ‘moving day’, in which Americans Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele enter the final round tied for first place, with 198 strokes, 15 under par. The first is looking to win his third Major: he already won this competition in 2020 and the British Open in 2021.
One shot behind the leaders is fellow American Sahith Teegala, who just last year achieved his first victory as a professional, in the Fortinet Championship, and who had already given notice with a Top 10 in the Masters last year.
Shane Lowry was about to make history in the Majors
Still, with this Saturday’s 62, he equaled what Schauffele did on Thursday and is two off the lead, tied with the American Bryson DeChambeau and the Norwegian Viktor Hovland.
Also on the lookout for the leaders are the Englishman Justin Rose and the Scotsman Robert MacIntyre, tied in seventh place, three shots behind Schauffele and Morikawa.
Scottie Scheffler, the world number one, collapsed
“We will litigate this matter as necessary and you will be completely exonerated,” Romines insisted.
