Manor Lords has exceeded 2 million copies sold in total, since its launch last April 26th. The confirmation comes from the publisher Hooded Horse, which speaks of copies actually sold and not of active players, therefore without considering access via PC Game Pass.
We are therefore talking about an excellent result, also considering that Manor Lords is only available on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store) and in Early Access format, therefore still raw from many points of view and lacking some content that will be integrated between now and the release of version 1.0 and falls into a category of games that is not exactly popular among players. We also remind you that the game will also arrive on Xbox Series X | S, although at the moment there are no indications on the launch window.
“It’s been wonderful to see so many players experience Manor Lords,” said Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse. “We had some pretty optimistic expectations and even some wild hopes, but Manor Lords reaching two million copies in such a short time surpassed even those.”
What is Manor Lords?
Manor Lords is a strategic game and a city builder with a medieval setting, set in 14th century Franconia. In the game we take on the role of a medieval lord, with the aim of creating our village and making it prosper to the point of transforming it into a large city. To do this it will be necessary to carefully manage the resources available and rationally plan the expansion of the territory, creating an army. The diplomatic component is also important to forge alliances and keep other lords who threaten our supremacy at bay.
One of the aspects of Manor Lords that attracted the attention of many players, so much so that it was the most desired game by Steam users, is the attention to historical details to reconstruct a realistic medieval setting.
