Be teacher either teacher is a vocation, but it is also a huge pleasure: and in reality, to assume the size of the commitment that one has in the face of such a great responsibility of teaching, it can only be achieved successfully when you really like it, when you embrace that profession as part of your life yourself, your happiness and your project. Be teacher It is an enormous challenge, but also a great satisfaction and a great sacrifice in many cases, we must recognize it without hesitation.
I know it well from my own home; since in my family there are many of us teachers. My mother, the teacher Artemisa, who as a special education normal teacher taught classes where I did a large part of my primary school at Jaime Torres Bodet in the Francisco Villa ejido, there in Los Mochis; my father who was an assistant law professor at UNAMmy mother-in-law the teacher Nelda, my wife Luz, my sister-in-law Bety, and well I myself have taught at three TEC universities of MTY, UDEM and the UAS and frankly today I really enjoy being a baseball teacher (coach) with children of 3 and 6 years old. Congratulations also to the baseball teachers, thank you for your patience and dedication. Being a teacher has been a legendary honor; Let us not forget that since the last century in our towns there were three figures of great respect, the doctor, the priest and of course the teacher. It is a blessing to have so many teachers and professors at home.
And I also believe that it is a great fortune to have in governorship to a mathematics teacher (although he taught other science classes as well) today in Sinaloa. Mr Governor Rubén Rocha Moya has not lost even its essence as teachernor his taste for being “the teacher” and as an example is the celebration for “Teacher’s Day” where the Governor recognizes the work and effort of our normal teachers in his day. And although Governor Rocha was the guest of honor, he was observed chatting with his friends, with the normal school teachers and professors like a fish in water. During his intervention, Governor Rocha recognized the “hard work” of the normal teachers and announced a series of commitments aimed at improving their working conditions.
Of course we will always be indebted to our teachers and teachersWe still have a lot to do to improve their working conditions. While it is true we must look for mechanisms so that they have better salaries, we must also improve the conditions of their workplaces, that is, OUR SCHOOLS. Much progress has been made and we will always have much to do since the best investment that a family or a state can make is education and in that work our teachers are almost as important as our own parents, in many cases even more.
At the teachers’ celebration we saw everyone happy and from what we saw, we can affirm that we will have Governor Rubén Rocha six years, but Professor Rocha is for life. My mother says well, “Professor doesn’t take away millet.” Teachers and teachers many congratulations and thank you very much always.
