Yosuke SaitoCEO of SQUARE ENIX and producer of the series NieRdeclared that he is working on a new project assiekme a Yoko Tarodirector of NieRAnd Keiichi Okabe (NUN)as revealed in the final pages of Weekly Famitsu.
In a discussion with the former producer of CAPCOM, Hiroyuki Kobayashi (currently driving GPTRACK50 under NetEase Games), Saito said: “I have wanted to do something together with Yoko and Okabe for a long time now. He’ll have something to say soon, in the not too distant future, so stay tuned. It might be NieR, or it might not be NieR. (laughs). That’s all I can say at the moment.”
Saito also added that he has another project still in the works.
“I’m working on various things with the idea of creating something that doesn’t exist yet. I can’t give it all my time, so she’s been left to the staff, but I think it’s turning out to be something pretty interesting. I look forward to the day I can make an announcement.”
