The athlete, recognized in the boxing world for his skill in the ring, was reported as disappeared on May 9generating an intensive search by the authorities and the concern of his relatives, as well as his promoter, Miura Boxing.
The first warning signs arose when Alvarado, 22 years old and originally from Cuernavaca, was last seen near the El Polvorín Bridge in Morelos.
As the hours passed and the absence of contact with the young athlete, those around him activated the corresponding protocols for his search, including the issuance of an official file by the Prosecutor’s Office after the expiration of the regulatory 72 hours.
On Monday, May 13, authorities confirmed Alvarado’s location. According to official reports, the boxer was not the object of any crime, since his absence was voluntary. However, the reasons behind his decision to temporarily distance himself from his surroundings have not yet been revealed.
The quick action of the authorities and the support of the community on social networks played a fundamental role in this positive outcome.
Alvarado’s family expressed their gratitude to Uriel Carmona, Attorney General of Morelos, as well as to all the personnel involved in the search and location of the boxer.
