After a long wait, the week in which Formula 1 stops in Italy, more specifically in Imola, has finally arrived. In fact, from 17 to 19 May, the top automotive category will return to our country for the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari International Autodrome.
As per tradition, alongside the action on the track there will also be many activities for the fans who go to the racetrack, in order to give space to fun even when the cars are stopped in the pits. The fanzone will be inaugurated on Thursday 16 May at 1pm and will be open to everyone, while in the following days, until Sunday, it will be open from 8 in the morning until 7pm in the evening.
Immediately Vasseur on Thursday
The first day at the fanzone will open immediately with one of the most eagerly awaited events by Cavallino fans, namely the meeting with the figures who are giving new life to the Maranello team. At 3pm on Thursday it will be Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur’s turn to meet the fans.
However, before Vasseur there will also be space for the protagonists of the preparatory categories of F2 and F3: Franco Colapinto, Luke Browing, Leonardo Fornaroli, Enzo Fittipaldi, Paul Aron and Gabriele Minì will be among the protagonists of the session with the fans, with the the last three also returning from the FE weekend in Berlin, where they took part in the ePrix or tests dedicated to rookies.
The second part of the afternoon will be dedicated to Imola and its citizens with the involvement of the Independence dance school and the awarding of competitions dedicated to the city and the schools.
The Ferraristi and Hamilton will meet on Saturday
On Friday it will be the turn of the drivers of Visa Cash APP (10.55-11.05), Williams and McLaren F1 (11.55-12.05), Aston Martin Aramco and Kick Sauber F1 (12.05-12.15), while in the afternoon it will be the turn of the Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack and McLaren CEO Zak Brown at 3.35pm and 3.45pm respectively.
On Saturday after the Haas drivers (9.55-10.05 am) the two Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, will make contact with the public at 10.40 am. However, the bond with the Cavallino will continue in the following moments, because the current Ferrari drivers will move on to the one of the future, Lewis Hamilton. The Briton will be with the fans starting at 11.05am in the company of George Russell in the space dedicated to Mercedes. Interspersing the events there will be meetings with Alpine and Red Bull Racing drivers from 10.55am, including the one with the reigning world champion Max Verstappen.

The memory of Ratzenberger and Senna
Friday morning (9-9.50 am) we remember Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna with the screening of a documentary on the Austrian driver and the interview with Giulia Toninelli, author of “Ayrton Senna, ferocious eyes, children’s eyes”.
Saturday afternoon under the banner of Women in Motors: from 5.35pm to 6pm Nadia Gresini (Grasini Racing), Elena Alberti (Penske) and Elena Penazzi (councillor of the Municipality of Imola for the Autodromo) and the stylist Elisabetta Franchi will take turns.
Among the attractions of the Fanzone are F1 SIMRACING, with 16 driving simulators competing simultaneously and the F1 PITSTOP CHALLENGE where fans can challenge each other to change tires in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, there are many historic F1 single-seaters.
