As we reported to you, ASUS recently announced that a new ROG Ally model is indeed on the way and confirmed the official name: ROG Ally. She shared a handful of information, but obviously didn’t mention the price. Well, where official information doesn’t arrive there are rumors and leaks and at the moment ROG Ally X is claimed to cost $799 at launch.
The information was shared byFrench user MysteryLupin. Obviously this is always a rumor, not official information, so we recommend taking the information with a pinch of salt.
We also remember that for the moment we do not know all the technical characteristics of the console/portable PC. ROG Ally X will not be a new generationcompletely separate from the current one, but it will be more than just a minor update and will try to propose various steps forward.
The latest news on ROG Ally
We remember that the full presentation of ROG Ally X will take place on June 2nd, just before Computex. In the first announcement it was said that the new device will have a 30/40% better battery than that of the previous model, as well as larger RAM and various other improvements. It will certainly have the same screen and the same Z1 Extreme that gives power to the model already on the market.
The price would be $100 above the starting price of the base Z1 Extreme model of ROG Ally, but it could be justified if the news were relevant enough.
Furthermore, the arrival on the market of ROG Ally X could also mean an advantage for those who do not want to spend too much for a platform of this type. In other words, older models might receive price cuts so as to make them more attractive and run out of stocks in anticipation of the distribution of the more modern model.
We just have to wait for the June event to understand exactly what ASUS has in store for us. Tell us, are you interested in ROG Ally X?
