Edomex authorities protect La Piedad lagoon due to the presence of a reptile

The authorities of the State of Mexico, in a decisive action, deployed a security operation around La Piedad lagoon, located in Cuautitlán Izcalli, due to the recent detection of a reptile in its waters. The Secretariat of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM) launched these surveillance measures with the primary objective of safeguarding the integrity of the population against possible risks associated with the presence of this animal.

Aware of the potential danger that the presence of a reptile in a public recreation area such as La Piedad lagoon can represent, elements Police officers from the State of Mexico intensified preventive patrols in the area. Their job is not only to maintain order and security, but also to inform and raise awareness among the community about the importance of avoiding approaches to the affected area.

The SSEM emphasized citizen collaboration as a fundamental pillar to maintain the tranquility and well-being of all. Therefore, it urges the population to remain alert and report any sighting or suspicious situation related to this reptile. For this purpose, the anonymous reporting numbers 089 and emergency numbers 9-1-1 are available, operating 24 hours a day.
