San Luis Potosí becomes an oven: Weather forecast for May 12 to 15

Climate in San Luis Potosi will continue to be extremely hot during the week of May 12 to 15, exceeding 45 °C, as reported by the National Metereological Service (SMN).

For this Sunday, the SMN indicated that the anticyclonic circulation that began the second heat wave is expected to be positioned over the Gulf of Mexico, ceasing to affect almost the entire country.

However, the hot to very hot environment will continue in the Mexican Republic. In San Luis Potosi they are expected to register maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 °C.

This day, the sky will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with isolated rains in the state. Likewise, the atmosphere will be cool to temperate in the morning, but hot to very hot in San Luis Potosí; with sawvariable steering speed from 15 to 30 km/h with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h and possible dust devils.

Weather in San Luis Potosí for the week

The SMN forecasts that on Monday a new cold front will approach the northern border of Mexico, which on Tuesday will move over the north and on Wednesday it will reach the northwest, causing strong gusts of wind and showers.

Specifically for San Luis Potosí, it is forecast that the chances of precipitation will decrease, with only isolated rains recorded during Monday and Tuesday. It won’t rain on Wednesday.

Likewise, extreme heat is expected these three days in the state of San Luis Potosí, where temperatures will exceed 45 °C.

It should be noted that the previous week in this state temperatures of up to 51 °C were reached. The hottest municipalities according to the delegation of the National Water Commission in San Luis Potosí are:

– Tamazunchale (46.5°C)

– Tanlajas (47°C)

– Ciudad Valles (49°C)

– Aquismón (49.5°C)

– Tamuín (51°C)
