The announcement, made on Thursday ahead of Porsche’s event in Berlin, means Andretti’s involvement with the German manufacturer will extend to a period of four years.
Andretti has been using Porsche’s 99X Electric powertrain since the start of the Gen3 era in 2022, after previous partner BMW withdrew from the all-electric championship.
The American team achieved two victories last season and its first Formula E drivers’ title thanks to Jake Dennis, despite an evident conflict with the official driver Pascal Wehrlein, particularly in the season finale in London, when the Briton was one I go from the title.
Despite a number of breaking points, offseason talks ironed out a relationship that both sides were intent on continuing for the next two years.
“When we signed the original agreement, we were not in a position to sign a four-year contract because Porsche, at the time, had not committed to Formula E beyond the end of season 10,” said the team principal of Andretti Roger Griffiths at Motorsport.com.
“We put ourselves out there hoping that they would continue to move forward and still want to collaborate with us. Obviously last season we had some success, but we also had some difficulties in the relationship, which I think are well known.”

“The intention was always to do a four-year contract, because the last thing you want to do is get halfway there and then move on to another manufacturer, but you never know.”
Dennis is currently third in the standings, 13 points behind Wehrlein, who is the only rider to have secured more than one victory this season thanks to his successes in Mexico City and Misano.
The excellent form of both means that, at mid-season, Porsche leads the new Manufacturers’ Trophy with an eight-point lead over Jaguar.
“We have enjoyed working with the Andretti team since we collaborated for the Gen3 era and are more than happy to continue doing so for the Gen3 Evo,” said Porsche team principal Florian Modlinger.
“It is also thanks to Andretti that the Porsche 99X Electric has achieved great results over the past season and a half, including Jake Dennis’ world championship victory.”
“The exchange between the two teams contributes to the performance of the car, and that is exactly what we are all looking for: entering the Gen3 Evo in a well-functioning partnership makes me very optimistic for seasons 11 and 12.”
