Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his Al-Nasr team to a 6-0 win over Al-Wahda, in “Stage 30” of the Saudi Football League, by scoring a hat-trick.
Al-Nasr took an early lead through Ronaldo with two goals in the 5th and 12th minutes, his compatriot Otavio III added 18, and Senegalese Sadio Mane increased the lead with a fourth goal 45.
Ronaldo returned to score his third goal and the fifth for his team “52”, before Mohammed Al Fateel concluded the goal festival “88”.
Al-Nasr raised its score with this victory to 74 points, in second place, temporarily 9 points behind leaders Al-Hilal, while Al-Wahda’s score stopped at 32 points in 12th place.
Ronaldo raised his tally to 32 goals as the top scorer, and widened the gap between him and Serbian Al Hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrovic to 9 goals.
Ronaldo came close to breaking the record of Moroccan Al-Ittihad striker Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, who has the highest goalscoring tally in one season with 34 goals, which he also achieved with Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo now needs three goals from Al-Nasr’s remaining 4 matches this season, which he will play against Al-Akhdoodom, Al-Hilal, Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad.
Al-Shabab continued its series of successive victories, with a third successive victory over its guest, Al-Raed, with two goals scored by Brazilian Carlos Junior and Belgian Yannick Carrasco (56 and 81).
Carlos Junior raised his tally of scoring contributions with Al-Shabab this season to 10, including 7 goals.
Al-Shabab also raised its score to point 41 and jumped to sixth place, while Al-Raed’s score froze at point 31, occupying thirteenth place.
Al-Shabab has not suffered any loss in the league, since losing to Al-Hilal 3-4 last March 30.
Al-Khaleej tied negatively with its guest, Al-Ta’i, raising its score to 38 points in 11th place, while Al-Ta’i’s score rose to 27 points in 17th place, penultimate.
Al-Khaleej did not taste victory in the last five matches, in all competitions, while Al-Tai also failed to achieve victory for the second match in a row, after losing to Al-Fayhaa 0-1 in the last stage.
