The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, released a new patch for the PC version this week and has now provided details on the console version of the update. Barone reassured fans on social media that theupdate 1.6 For console and mobile it is “still in production”. Unfortunately for now this is all the creative can tell us.
Barone had already said that the objective was to release update 1.6 for consoles “as soon as possible”, but it did not have a precise date. Fans, seeing the continuous updates of the PC version, can't wait for all the new features to arrive on consoles too.
The latest update for PC (version 1.6.6.) includes balance and gameplay changes, translation changes, bug fixes, and some mod-related fixes. In the previous PC update this month, 40 new mine layouts were added to the game.
After Stardew Valley
We remind you that Barone is working not only on Stardew Valley version 1.6 (and related updates) but also on a new game, Haunted Chocolatier.
Haunted Chocolatier will put us in the shoes of a person who must run a haunted chocolate factory. We can once again expect a city to explore with its own inhabitants and a region with its own activities, which will mainly focus on the search for ingredients to create new types of chocolate.
According to previous statements by Barone, the game is also inspired by Diablo 2 and, furthermore, every graphic element will be new: there will be no recycling from Stardew Valley.
