With the revival of Fallout, due to the new Amazon Prime Video TV series, many players are also flocking to older chapters, such as Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegasdiscovering however that these in particular encounter different ones problems with i latest drivers of AMD video cards.
There solution paradoxically, these problems do not seem to come directly from the company in question but rather from the mods, which at the moment seem to be the most effective system to make the two older 3D chapters work best on modern systems.
Several reports of problems in managing the graphics of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have arrived on Reddit, and it seems that the best solution among those proposed is the use of a mod that appears designed to bypass Intel GPUs.
An artisanal but functional solution
Opinions are quite varied on the issue, but second this discussion specific use of the “Intel HD Grpahics Bypass Package” mod is recommended, available on NexusModswhich apparently also works with AMD cards, making the system believe that the GPU in use is a 7900 GS.
The problem seems to be solved also by using DXVK, but in some cases performance problems are detected in this case, or by downgrading the AMD drivers below version 24.1.1, which however can be inconvenient for using the tab on more modern titles.
