Singapore, April 12, 2024 – HoYoverse, a global interactive entertainment brand, today announced the arrival of version 4.6 of Genshin Impact, “The Two Worlds Burn, Light in the Crimson Night,” on April 24. Harlequin, the fourth of the Fatui Messengers long awaited by players, will debut as a recruitable character and weekly boss. In the world of Teyvat, a new explorable area featuring a long-lost underwater empire will finally be revealed in Fontaine, while in Inazuma, a new game and music festival will get everyone going wild.

Harlequin, the fourth of the Nether Heralds, also known as “The Maid”, will introduce herself to players both as a 5★ playable Pyro character with a spear and as a weekly boss. As a teammate, Harlequin's combat skills focus primarily on Lifelink, a mechanism that prevents her victims from recovering HP, but which Harlequin also manages to exploit to enhance her attack. Harlequin can gain a Life Bond on her HP bar, and when the bond is equal to or greater than a certain percentage of her HP, she will enter an attack state which, by consuming her Life Bond, will grant her more powerful normal attacks and Non-cancelable Pyro damage. To maintain the Lifelink, Harlequin can apply Blood Debt Directives to his enemies. Additionally, due to her unique lei talent, the only way she will be able to receive healing effects during combat is through her Elemental Blaze.
As a weekly boss, Harlequin will apply the Blood Debt Directives to players who challenge her. Players with a Blood Debt Directive will be affected by Lifelink, taking increased damage from its attacks with no chance of recovering HP. Those who manage to repay the Debt will be rewarded with a boost to their Charged Attack. Not only that, Harlequin is also called “Father” by her children in the Hearth House, but more information about the Hearth House and her Harlequin will be revealed in her story quest, Ignis Purgatorius.
Harlequin will be available in the event wishes of the first half of version 4.6 along with the Lyney rerun, followed by the Wanderer and Baizhu in the second half. The new 5★ spear, Form of the Crimson Moon, a weapon that focuses on Lifelink combat abilities, will also be available during the first half of version 4.6.
For those seeking adventure, version 4.6 opens the door to a new area with a large and mysterious underwater empire just waiting to be explored. Deep within the Sea of Ancient Times lie the ruins of Remuria, an empire whose heyday and subsequent destruction predate the birth of the Court of Fontaine. Learning his “symphony” will be fundamental to reactivating certain age-old mechanisms and devices. As the adventure progresses, players may even encounter a certain special dragon and face the new boss enemy Golem Legatus.
On Watatsumi Island in Inazuma, players will help Itto prepare for Arataki the Rocker's Rainbow Tour de force of wonders and enjoy a new music game in the meantime. Players will be able to modify their own music games and invite friends to challenge them by sharing codes. As a reward, they will have a chance to obtain a new item, the Horn of the Night Breeze.
Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact will be available on April 24th along with Harlequin, an underwater empire, a rock music festival and many other surprises.
