For a few days now it has been rumored that there was a new video game in the saga Prince of Persia in development, which was not the remake of Sands of Time and neither the recent Lost Crown, but rather it was a new experience for the franchise, specifically a roguelike. With that in mind, many of us thought that we wouldn't know anything about this until the next Ubisoft Forward, but it seems that they don't want to wait long, so we already have the first details in question.
First of all, it is established that the game is named after The Rogue Prince of Persia, which as indicated, will be a title of this genre where the dungeons are generated randomly and the objects are also lost as soon as the user loses in the game. Later, it has been confirmed that Studio Evil is in charge of the project, as they have experience in other video games of the style such as Dead Cells, specifically with the expansion of Return to Castlevania.
You can watch the trailer here:
Here is the description of the game by Ubisoft:
The Rogue Prince of Persia is a fast-paced 2D roguelite platformer developed by Evil Empire coming to Steam in Early Access on May 14, 2024. Join a dedicated community, interact directly with the development team to Create the best gaming experience possible and enjoy constant content updates.
For now, it is only confirmed that it will be in early access may 14 through the store Steam. It is not yet confirmed if it will also be released on consoles.

Editor's note: This new experience definitely looks pretty good, and it is possible that it will even do better than what was seen in the Lost Crown. However, we will have to see the final product when it is released on Steam.
