Some of the developers of EA Motivethe studio responsible for Dead Space Remake and currently working on an Iron Man game, will join forces with Criterion, Ripple Effect and DICE to create the next projects in the shooter series Battlefield.
The confirmation came from studio general manager Patrick Klaus via a post published on the official Electronic Arts website where he announced the formation of this new support team.
The directors of Dead Space Remake, executive producer Philippe Ducharme and creative director Roman Campos-Oriala, will lead the new Motive team to bring “a universe to life through multiplayer and single-player experiences”, making their experience available in storytelling, immersive battles and the Frostbite Engine for future games in the series.
For the moment we know very little about the future of Battlefield. According to a rumor launched by Tom Henderson in February, the next chapter of the series could arrive towards the end of 2025 or 2026. EA described it as a “connected ecosystem”, but without elaborating the concept in depth, so it will be need to wait to find out more.
The development of Iron Man is making major progress
In the same post, Klaus assured that the Iron Man project, led by Oliver Proulx (executive producer) and Ian Frazier (creative director), remains a “important priority” for EA Motive.
In this regard, he added that the development is proceeding at full speed and that “the team has made excellent progress this yearreaching an important internal milestone and laying solid foundations for the future.”
