Over the past few years, Netflix has been doing everything it can to increase its anime offering considerably. Throughout the world, the streaming company offers films from Studio Ghibli and Studio Ponoc. Now, it has been revealed that Suzumeone of the most acclaimed anime films of 2023, is now available on Netflix.
Almost unexpectedly, it has been confirmed that Suzumethe most recent film from the director of Your Name and Weathering With Youis now available on Netflix across 169 countries, and Mexico is one of them, with more regions planned to receive this film in the future. This is the description of the tape offered by this platform:
“The journey of Suzume, a 17-year-old girl, begins in a quiet town in Kyushu, located in the southwest of Japan. There, she meets a young man who tells her: “I'm looking for a door.” What Suzume finds is a single worn-out door standing in the middle of the ruins, as if she were safe from any catastrophe. Attracted by its power, Suzume approaches the doorknob…, and the doors begin to open one after another throughout Japan, unleashing destruction on anyone near her. Now, Suzume must close these portals to prevent the disaster from becoming even greater…”
Thus, Netflix reaffirms its commitment to anime lovers by offering a high-quality movie that everyone who loves this genre must see. Let us remember that Makoto Shinkai, the director, has earned a great reputation in recent years after the release of Your Name.
We just have to see what the next big anime addition for Netflix will be. On related topics, we tell you how it is Suzume. Likewise, these were all the winners of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Editor's Note:
Suzume it's a great movie. Not only does it retain many of the elements that have characterized Makoto Shinkai's last two works, but it also offers an evolution of his narrative style that presents us with a positive future for this director's work. I can't wait to watch this tape again.
