The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced the implementation of Eid Al Fitr initiatives in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Rashid Center for People of Determination, the Al Ittihad Charitable Foundation, Qulis MHI (operator of the Dubai Metro and Tram), and Roxy Cinema. The initiatives aim to celebrate the Eid and make people happy. Categories of orphans, people of determination, and students through three initiatives: Eid clothing, organizing recreational trips, and distributing Eidiya.
The Eid initiatives organized by the Authority this year stem from its keenness to strengthen community cohesion and spread the culture of solidarity with orphans and people of determination, and their participation in the joy of Eid by distributing Eid clothing, which is a set of canadirs and khawaris that express the Emirati identity and the authenticity of the national costume, which is… An ancient inheritance linked to customs and traditions. This initiative is organized in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Al-Ittihad Charitable Foundation, and Dar Al-Hay Tailor, where a set of Eid clothes will be distributed, which are traditional Emirati clothes “Kannadir” for males, and in line with the values of giving and goodness, a special initiative has been allocated to the category of people of determination from Girls affiliated with the Rashid Center for People of Determination: Distributing Makhawir with a contribution from Salama Tailoring Shop, with the aim of bringing joy to their hearts and congratulating them on Eid.
The initiatives also included distributing Eid gifts to students in charitable schools, so that they could provide for their needs and participate in Eid celebration activities. Qulis MHI also contributed, as part of Eid initiatives, by organizing a trip for orphan children to a movie theater, as these trips are considered an entertainment means to enhance happiness in the hearts of orphans.
