On March 31, Madelainetwo years and nine months, died at the Maternal and Child Hospital, in Durangoafter allegedly his mom and stepfather beat him up.
The little girl was admitted to the hospital on the night of March 30, supposedly after having suffered a fall and died a day later after having detected a severe head trauma; the girl had multiple blows all over his little body.
“The minor had head trauma due to a supposed fall from the bed, and was admitted to intensive care. When the minor was examined, it was detected that she had injuries that were not consistent with a fall of that nature, and she lost her life on March 31, 2024, determining the cause of death as traumatic brain injury,” explained the Durango Prosecutor's Office.
Little Maddie's dreams and joys were left in a small white coffin, after her mother denied that her partner was hitting her. According to the version of the little girl's maternal family, they tried to seek help from bodies such as the State DIF, but Madelaine's mother denied the situation and did not allow the case to be reported.
However, one day they managed to have contact with the girl and upon noticing strange changes in her they decided to take her to the DIF to report the facts but unfortunately no one believed them and today Madelaine is dead.
“She had marks here, as if they had put her on the floor and I saw her at that moment my heart hurt, but I didn't want to cry because I said, something here is strange, something here is strange and when I saw her, no I wanted to cry at that moment, I spoke to my brother Gamaliel, and I told him to come quickly and ask for the girl, because they mistreated her,” revealed Samuel Martínez, Madelaine's uncle.
Martínez recalled that at one point, the girl asked him to kill her cousin: “I told her what a girl, what a girl, because I'm going to kill her, my queen. And she said yes, hit her like they hit me in the head, So I told him, whoever hits you in the head with my heart, and he told me: Maddie, she doesn't cry, Maddie shouldn't cry because she is tough, she is strong and Maddie doesn't cry, no one, she shouldn't cry,” he said. .
After the tragedy, Osvaldo “N” and the minor's mother, Sarahí “N”, were arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, allegedly for being responsible for the girl's death.
