The excellent remake of the first SystemShock star to be updated with lots of new content, including a female version of the protagonist hacker. The patch will be released on April 11th.
It should be noted that thefemale hacker it's not a last-minute piece of content, but one of those promised at the time of the Kickstarter campaign, so about eight years ago.
The Hacker
Interviewed by PC GamerStephen Kick, the head of Nightdive, talked about a feature that does not change the gameplay, but which makes it more engaging for a certain type of audience.
In fact, there are few moments in which the player can actually see the hacker: in the initial movie, in the final ones and in case of game over. So the addition of a female version of the hacker only has role-playing value. Apparently the revised endinganother of the new features introduced, will instead go deeper, but Nightdive for now has not wanted to reveal anything about it, apart from the fact that it has been completely redone.
