Cadillac Racing does not hide its ambitions for the 2024 season that awaits it in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the second in a row for the Detroit brand.
In Qatar the dance will open on March 2nd with the 1812 Km, but on Monday and Tuesday the V-Series.R #2 prepared by Chip Ganassi Racing will be able to take to the Lusail International Circuit for the Prologue tests, starting to work in view of the first weekend of the year.
Being a 10h race, the regular starters Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn will have Sébastien Bourdais as their companion in the Middle East and after the solidity shown at the debut last year it is clear that the expectations for growth with notable results for the LMDh chassis Dallara is the order of the day in the American garages.
Among other things, at the 24h of Daytona, Cadillac also fought to the end for the overall success, narrowly defeated by Porsche, but in the Hypercar Class of the World Championship the challenge is very different and the awareness that it will be necessary to roll up one's sleeves right from the start it is immediately underlined by all representatives of the General Motors family.

“I think we've prepared well, we've learned a lot about the WEC and how the races are run, so we can't wait to get going again. Qatar will be a challenge because we've never been there and I've heard it's quite difficult We'll do our best and see what we can do,” says Bamber.
Lynn adds: “Overall, it was a positive 2023. We had a strong result in Le Mans, with third place. Other than that, we had some moments where we shined, but we are still in a development phase and learning a lot every weekend.”
“At the beginning of the season we had some good qualifying and good races, but the end of the year didn't go as hoped. I believe that in 2024 we will be able to exploit all these positive aspects in an interesting way.”
As 'guest', Bourdais is very excited: “I can't wait to start the WEC season and try to help Alex and Earl in Qatar. It's always fun to discover a new circuit and I'm happy to have the opportunity to race more with Cadillac #2”.
“We hope to take advantage of what we learned last year and apply it right from the start, getting to know the car. We hope to start the season by scoring some good points.”

Team Manager, Stephen Mitas, highlights: “We know where our strengths are and we are working to optimize them to achieve the best possible results. Lusail is a new circuit for the whole team, so it will be an interesting challenge.”
“For the team in general, most of the circuits last year were quite new, with the exception of the bigger ones where almost everyone had raced before. The team was able to adapt quickly and I am convinced that this will be the case too in Qatar”.
Laura Wontrop Klauser, Head of GM's sportscar program, comments: “Being able to race in the WEC with Cadillac was an extraordinary opportunity. We still have a lot to learn and I would say that our biggest challenge is getting to know the series and the different circuits, especially those new like Qatar and Brazil this year. We enjoy this challenge and look forward to growing and becoming stronger in 2024.”
