After the mixed reception, with mainly negative opinions, of the DCEU, the new DC cinematic universe has taken its first step. Through social networks it was shared a photo that gives us a look at the main actors of Superman: Legacythe first DCU film.
Through his official Instagram account, James Gunn shared a selfie where we can see Nathan Fillion, Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and more actors from Superman: Legacy, together after their first rehearsal session with the script. This is what the director commented on the matter:
“After the script reading with the cast of Superman. Eve, Mr. Terrific, Superman/Clark, Otis, Lex, producer Peter Safran, Jimmy, Metamorpho, Lois, Hawkgirl, me, Guy and The Engineer, all together for the first time. What a spectacular day!”
Along with giving us the first look at the cast together, James Gunn's photography also reconfirms the actors who appear in this film. David Corenswet will be in charge of giving life to Clark Kent/Superman, while Rachel Brosnahan will do the same with Lois Lane. For his part, Nathan Fillion will be Guy Gardner, of the Green Lantern Corps; Edi Gathegi will play Mr. Terrific, Isabela Merced will play Hawkgirl, María Gabriela De Faría will play The Engineer, Sara Sampaio will appear as Eve, Anthony Carrigan will appear as Metamorfo.
Nicholas Hoult, who we can see with a shaved head, will be in charge of giving life to Lex Luthor, the iconic Superman villain. Finally, it has been confirmed that Skyler Gisondo will play the role of Jimmy Olsen, while Terence Rosemore will be tasked with playing Otis, one of Luthor's henchmen.
Although we still have to wait to enjoy this film, Superman: Legacy will hit theaters on July 11, 2025, and soon filming will finally begin on this film. On related topics, this is what David Corenswet looks like as Superman. Likewise, Rocksteady didn't work on a Superman game.
