Members of the Interdisciplinary Research Center for the Comprehensive Development of the Region are working hard in order to protect the various natural resources that the entity has, and among them is the snaila gastropod that is the heritage of Sinaloa, but that unfortunately is experiencing a serious threat due to the lack of knowledge of human beings, especially the fishermen, since they destroy their eggs involuntarily, simply because they do not know how to identify them, which causes millions of these species to die regularly. That is why a campaign is being carried out to inform society about it and these actions finally stop.
Daniel Góngora, who is one of the researchers of the Ciidir that is giving its maximum effort to protect this mollusk, regretted that currently there are no rules that prohibit or sizes that limit the capture of snails, that is why men from the sea extract from the waters the masses where millions of eggs are housed, and end up throwing them on the beach, which is why they end up drying out and therefore dying, and although they do not do it with the intention of affecting them, yes they are doing it. Hence the relevance of socializing this issue among the fishing sector and ensuring that this massacre no longer continues.
For now, they are already placing information posters throughout the state, in which, through images, they seek to help fishermen learn to easily identify those masses where the snail eggs are housed, so that when they take them out of the sea, they return them. to water, and in this way its reproduction cycle is not continued to be hindered.
