Repressive actions by the São Paulo Military Police (PM) ended with suspects shot and killed on the coast of São Paulo this weekend. Agents are searching the region looking for those responsible for the death of soldier Samuel Wesley Cosmo. He was assigned to Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar (Rota) and was shot while patrolling in Santos on Friday (2).
According to what was reported this Sunday (4) by the state secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite, three Rota teams laid siege to escape points in Vila dos Criadores, in Santos, when they were surprised by criminals. Three suspects were shot and died. Three weapons, 110 portions of marijuana, 76 portions of cocaine and 196 portions of crack were seized from them.
Through the social network X (formerly Twitter), Derrite informed that the government will continue “with an intelligence operation to dismantle organized crime”.
On Saturday night (3), the secretary had announced that police officers from the 3rd Shock Battalion, also in Baixada Santista, came across individuals who shot at the team. “One of them, with convictions for robbery and theft, was neutralized and died,” explained Derrite.
A Brazil Agency asked the Public Security Secretariat if there were records of other deaths of suspects in the region related to the search for the murderer of police officer Cosmos, but did not receive a response by the time the report was completed.
