Concerts of Russian singer Kristina Orbakaite were canceled in Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk. About it TASS said the organizer of the singer’s concerts in Siberia, Hovhannes Tukhmanyan.
He clarified that the events were to take place on March 7 and 12.
Previously, Orbakaite’s concerts were disrupted in Ulan-Ude and Chita. Public figures demanded to cancel the artist’s performance, accusing her of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the “Combat Brotherhood” organization in Buryatia, Zhambal-Zhamso Zhanaev, said that the population of Buryatia supports the initiative not to allow performers who oppose the country into the republic.
The singer’s director, Alexander Kachan, admitted that he does not understand why the singer’s show was cancelled. “The artist was on federal channels in New Year’s programs. It is not clear on what basis this is happening now, why, because of what,” he said.
