Starting from resolution and framerate, these are the results of the tech enthusiast's analyses:
- PC: up to 4K and 120 fps
- PS5: 2160p and 60 fps
- Xbox Series X: 2160p and 60 fps
- Xbox Series S: 1080p and 60 fps
- PS4 Pro: 1620p and 30 fps
- PS4: 1080p and 30 fps
The other differences between the various platforms
Apart from resolution and framerate, the differences between the various versions are not very marked and according to ElAnalistaDeBits Persona 3 Reload offers a satisfactory experience regardless of the platform chosen.
Going into more detail, the oldgen versions for PS4 and PS4 Pro have some limitations related to texturing, shadows, ambient occlusion and reflections compared to the PS5 version. The most marked difference, however, is that relating to loading timesfour times faster on Sony's current-generation console.
Overall, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S succeed stably maintain the 60 fps target in all areas. On Series S, the absence of reflections on any surfaces was noted. The PC version can boast better shadows, in addition to the aforementioned differences in terms of framerate, which can reach a maximum of 120 fps, although similar fluidity does not have great impacts on the overall experience in a turn-based JRPG.
We remind you that Persona 3 Reload has been available for a few days on all the platforms mentioned so far and is also included in the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalogue. If you haven't already, here is our review of the remake made by Atlus.
