So the independent security experts ofEuro NCAP awarded the new 5 Series the maximum rating of five stars, thanks in particular to its extensive standard equipment with safety-relevant driver assistance systems and its innovative integrated safety concept. Not only that: the German sedan has also won recognition TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the USA, again with the highest possible rating. Lastly, the model was elected “Safest Car of the Year” at KNCAP in South Korea: the fact that the passive safety standards of the car met 99.5% of the requirements stands out.
