Barcelona achieved a comprehensive victory to lift its fourth Spanish Women's Super Cup title, the third in a row. Giráldez's team did not give Levante any chance, and ended up winning by a resounding result of 7-0.
The match was decided in the first half, when the Blaugrana team went into the break with a practically insurmountable lead of five goals, which made it quite difficult for the Granota team to come back. Two later goals in the second half ended up sealing the culé victory and the subsequent achievement of the Spanish Super Cup title.
Levante came with the hope of breaking a very negative streak against Barcelona, a team they have not beaten since 2017, with the statistics being one draw and 13 defeats. Sánchez Vera's team played a game with very close lines to try to avoid play within the culé team, but it was not enough to stop the overwhelming gale of Barcelona, who ended up imposing their game and demonstrating great superiority.
The game started early for Barcelona, when in the 10th minute Salma Paralluelo scored the first goal of the night after an assist from Hansen, and later the Norwegian attacker would score the second goal of the game from inside the area, which would have already gap in the scoreboard.
With hardly any time for Levante to raise its head, in the 26th minute Ona Batlle scored the third after Aitana Bonmati crashed a ball into the post. Subsequently, to round off a high-level first half, Hansen and Salma once again found the goal to close the 5-0 with which the first half would end.
In the second half, faced with a practically incontestable result, Levante began to have some approach to Cata Coll's goal, perhaps the result of the relaxation of the Blaugrana team in the face of such a wide distance on the scoreboard. Finally, the blatant winner of the Ballon d'Or and The Best, who had not had much prominence in the match, decided to make an appearance, first with an assist for Hansen to score his hat-trick in the match, and later scoring the seventh and final goal that closed the scoring account for Giráldez's team in a great demonstration of superiority and dominance of the game.
As could be seen, the Blaugrana team did not miss some casualties such as that of one of its stars, Alexia Putellas, who has been sidelined from the playing fields since November due to a knee injury, and continues with her recovery process.
In the press conference after the match, the Barcelona coach was satisfied with the victory, and stressed the need to go game by game, claiming that “the objective is to win all the games we play.”
For her part, the Norwegian Hansen commented that they were facing the possibility of making history. And Barcelona is alive in all competitions, in addition to leading the first women's division, so the culé's hope is the possibility of winning all the titles of the season and making history.
