He won the French Cyprien Sarrazin who with an unstoppable ride thus clearly imposed himself in 1.52.96 also in the second descent on the terrible Streif, after yesterday's victory. Second, but visibly disappointed because he already felt the victory was within his grasp, the Swiss Marco Odermatt in 1.53.87. For Italy it was overall a good match Mattia Casse and Guglielmo Bosca 13th ex aequo in 1.55.05 and then Florian Schieder – second yesterday on the Streif – 15th in 1.55.09.
Further back Niccolò Molteni 31st in 1.55.87 and then again Christof Innerhofer in 1.56.01 and Benjamin Alliod in 1.57.29. Outside, however, Matteo Zazzi Sun, very cold and much harder surface and therefore faster than that of yesterday's race for this second descent of the Streif, with almost 60 thousand spectators-fans at the finish line and along the very famous and spectacular track. Among these, in an infinite series of VIPs, a regular guest for years, also the actor of Austrian origins and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Tomorrow along the Ganslern route, in the humped valley next to the Streif finish line, there will be the final special slalom of the Kitzbuehel stage. The six Italians competing will be led by Tommaso Sala and Alex Vinatzer who this time, after last Sunday's bad experience in Wengen, want to do well in both heats.
