The ZEEKR 001 is an electric passenger car measuring 4.96 meters in length, 1.99 meters in width and 1.56 meters in height. It has a two-volume structure similar to that of a family car, with the particularity that the rear window is flat rather than almost vertical. The trunk has a capacity of 539 liters, which is a lot for a car of this type. It is already available for pre-order in some European markets (Germany, Netherlands and Sweden) and will be available in other countries in the future.
Some of its possible alternatives could be the BYD Han or the Volkswagen ID.7, although it should be kept in mind that there are differences in the dimensions of each of these models: the Zeekr is the widest and the tallest. The height of the ZEEKR 001 is higher than that of a normal passenger car, but lower than that of an SUV, so it could be classified as a crossover. The ground clearance, which varies from 162 to 174 mm depending on the version, is also higher than normal for a passenger car.
The 001 range includes versions with a single rear engine (272 HP) and two engines, one front and one rear (544 HP in total). The battery always has a capacity of 100 kWh and can be charged with up to a maximum of 200 kW of direct current power. It is produced by CATL and its cathode chemistry is NMC (Nickel Cobalt Manganese), like that of the Mercedes-Benz EQS and most electric cars in Europe.
The most fuel-efficient version (rear-wheel drive) can travel up to 620 km according to the WLTP method, which is reduced to 580 or 590 km for the all-wheel drive versions. Zeekr says that on the all-wheel drive 001 it is possible to disconnect the front axle, thus gaining up to 30 km of autonomy.

The average fuel consumption of the longest range version is 18.2 kWh/100 km. This is a good figure when you consider the average fuel consumption of other large electric sedans, but it is far from the 14.1 kWh that Volkswagen claims for the 286 HP ID.7 (14.1 kWh/100 km) and , to a lesser extent, for the BMW i5 eDrive40 (16.0 kWh/100 km).
The ZEEKR 001 is built on the SEA modular platform, which is also found in the ZEEKR aluminum. The suspensions are a deformable parallelogram on both axles. In the simplest versions the springs are helical, while in the most accessorized version (Privilege) there are air springs and electronically controlled shock absorbers. Air springs allow the body height to be varied by up to 83mm between the most extreme positions. The drag coefficient (Cd) of the Zeekr is 0.23, the same that Volkswagen announces for the ID.7 and BYD for the Han.
Inside there is an 8.8-inch display that acts as instrumentation, providing basic data such as speed and the amount of energy used and recovered. Furthermore, there is a windshield information system (HUD) that integrates the information provided by the instruments. In the center of the dashboard is another 15.4-inch screen with a floating appearance. Finally, on the Privilege versions, on the rear seats there is an additional screen (in the extension of the central console) from which occupants can control the ventilation system.

The multimedia system is controlled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, also present in other models such as the MG Cybester or the WEY Coffee 01. Like other modern cars, the multimedia system is equipped with 5 communication channels. It is also equipped with 5G Internet connectivity and is ready to receive online updates. Zeekr has an online store (developed by Harman Ignite) to download various applications to your car's multimedia system. You can also download an app to your mobile phone to remotely control various functions such as locks, battery charging, lights, vehicle status and maintenance alerts.
Driving assistants work on the basis of radar, cameras and ultrasonic sensors. There is therefore no Lidar. The most advanced driver assistance function among those reported so far by Zeekr is the active cruise control with highway driving assistant and the ability to overtake when the driver activates the indicator.
Zeekr previewed the 001 with the Lynk&Co Zero Concept concept car. Zeekr is one of the brands of the Geely conglomerate, which also owns Volvo, Polestar, Link&Co and, partly, smart.
