Ministry of Energy of Ukraine: due to bad weather, 1025 settlements were cut off in the country
Due to the ongoing bad weather in Ukraine, more than a thousand settlements were left without electricity. The country's Ministry of Energy reports this in its Telegam-channel.
As of the morning of January 9, 1,025 settlements were without power on the territory of the republic. The largest number of power outages occurred in the Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Nikolaev and Kirovograd regions of Ukraine due to heavy winds and icing of power lines.
“In the Dnepropetrovsk region, almost 29 thousand consumers in 324 settlements are without power supply, in the Odessa region, 268 settlements are without power, in the Nikolaev region – 215, in the Kirovograd region – 146 settlements,” reports the Ministry of Energy.
A day earlier, 850 settlements remained without electricity on the territory of the republic. To maintain Ukraine's energy system, Kyiv imports electricity from Slovakia and Romania.
