Diletta Leotta and Antonella Clerici, the new episode of Mamma Dilettante
Diletta Leotta and Amateur Mom, here is Antonella Clerici
After Federica Pellegrini (“You were a bit of an asshole”, when the Divine responded to the 'uncomfortable' question), Aurora Ramazzotti and the Valentino Rossi's partner, Francesca Sofia Novello it's up to Antonella Clerici to inaugurate the new podcast and vodcast episodes of Mamma Dilettante 2, produced by Dopcast, and available every Monday and Thursday on YouTube and on the main distribution platforms. Here are the words of Diletta Leotta.
Antonella Clerici reveals to Diletta Leotta: “As a sports journalist I was seen as…”
Antonella Clerici tells Diletta Leotta about her beginnings as a sports journalist. «When I started working as a sports journalist I had to deal with an all-male environment – he says in the interview with Mamma Dilettante – During the 1990 World Cup in Italy, when I went to the stadium, journalists from other countries looked at me as if I were a UFO. Back then, a woman doing interviews at the stadium was a bit of a peculiar thing. I read a lot: La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport. I knew everything by heart, I studied like hell. I always wanted to be on point. Then I also followed the Olympics, but when I realized that a chapter of my life had ended for me, I decided to have new experiences. I could have sat on my laurels, but curiosity and the desire to take risks have always guided me towards new working horizons.”
Antonella Clerici tells Diletta Leotta: her daughter Maelle was bullied in the first year of middle school
«When Maelle started middle school, I believe my daughter was a victim of bullying. Precisely because she was my daughter, someone made her feel bad by pointing her out as “daughter of”. In middle school someone told her “You talk, but you're the daughter of”. At the beginning she took it because I saw that she suffered a little. But then she managed to turn the situation around. At the end of eighth grade I saw that those who first denigrated her were then on her side. Maelle was good and intelligent in managing that situation.”
Antonella Clerici to Diletta Leotta: the importance of “No” in the growth path of children
«We must educate our children about “No”. We protect our children too much. Sport teaches that “no” is constructive and that defeats are more important than victories. If we over-protect our children, then our boys don't grow up and at the first “no” from a girl they react in the wrong way”, the words of Antonella Clerici to Diletta Leotta.
Amateur Mom: Antonella Clerici is an example for her daughter Maelle
«When I tell my daughter Maelle that I want to spend more time with her, perhaps to study together, she replies: “For the love of God. You have to work, you are not a woman who has to stay at home. When you stay at home on Saturdays and Sundays you're boring.” I think you're ultimately right. My daughter has from me the example of a self-made woman, who was not born rich, but from a normal family, who made it on her own, who never married the rich man, on the contrary … The example we give to our children matters more than words. My daughter keeps me at a distance when we are in public, but I know that she respects me and that I am an important point of reference for her. She grew up with me.”
