Residents of the Klimovsk microdistrict in the city of Podolsk near Moscow, who suffered due to the accident, will not pay for heating in January. This was announced by the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov on Monday, January 8.
The night before, he held a meeting with residents of houses left without heat.
“Yesterday we also talked about recalculating utility bills. <…> Residents who suffered due to the accident in Klimovsk will not have payment for heating in their January payment. We will also compensate for electricity costs – payment will be calculated according to the December payment,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
At the same time, residents will not have to submit any applications for recalculation; everything will be done automatically, the head of the region added.
On January 6, the head of the Podolsk urban district, Grigory Artamonov, reported that due to frost, the heating system in the Podolsk microdistrict of Klimovsk froze and during startup, breakthroughs appeared on the main line and in houses. Due to the lack of heat in Podolsk, a local emergency regime was introduced.
Warming points were organized for residents in the Mashinostroitel cultural center and in the building of the gymnasium named after Podolsk cadets on Revolution Street. At the same time, the backup heating boiler was started. Later that day, Artamonov reported that heating had already been supplied to 45 apartment buildings in the area.
The next day, Vorobiev announced the launch of a second boiler in Podolsk to increase capacity and supply heat to unheated apartments. In addition, houses in the Klimovsk microdistrict on Simferopolskaya, Zavodskaya and Zapadnaya streets and Oktyabrskaya Square have already been connected to the heat supply, and it is planned to supply heat to the houses of the third stage by the middle of the current day.
At the same time, the press service of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region announced the initiation of a criminal case regarding the restriction of the supply of energy resources to residential buildings and organizations in Podolsk.
