Today an earthquake measuring 7.6 degrees on the Richter scale hit the central area of Japan and the authorities have issued a tsunami warning. Residents on the Noto Peninsula coast of Noto (Ishikawa Prefecture) were asked to immediately evacuate the area and head to higher altitude areas.
