Nayarit.- More of 70 million pesos were earmarked for reconstruction of the areas affected by Hurricane Roslyn which made landfall last Sunday, October 23, in the state of Nayarit.
It will be 20 million that will be allocated specifically to the Island of Mexcaltitanwhich is considered a Magic Town belonging to the municipality of Santiago Ixcuintlawhere the hurricane made landfall.
The remaining budget, that is, the remaining 50 million pesos, will be allocated to affected areas in the north of the state, according to information from the Secretary of Administration and Finance, Julio César López Ruelas.
“Nayarit has to get up now, we cannot wait for a year to pass and extraordinary resources arrive, we have to start with the reconstruction of the damaged areas,” he told local media.
In addition, on said island it was declared a total loss, since at least 80 percent of the homes of the locals were destroyed by the hurricane that hit as category 3 in the state of Nayarit.

This is why López Ruelas announced that they will declare Nayarit a disaster area to receive federal support, however, they will begin reconstruction with public resources as an emergency.
