The Bahrain tests have closed and, barring surprises like yesterday’s, it’s still Max Verstappen the reference to beat. The Dutchman hit the absolute best time, a 1: 31.720 obtained with C5 tire just in the last minutes of the last session, most likely with a low fuel load. The world champion preceded Charles Leclerc of +0.695. At Ferrari the optimism is growing more and more, both for the results on the flying lap and for the long runtruly remarkable on C4 (which however will not be used in the race next week).
Third position for Fernando Alonso, who placed his paw in the last seconds of testing (with track temperatures much lower than in the previous hours). Fourth George Russell, ahead of Valtteri Bottas. Back who shot in the morning: seventh Sergio Perez, 13th Carlos Sainz, 17th Lewis Hamilton.
