A 7-year-old child died after being stung by a scorpion in the city of Anhembi, in the interior of São Paulo. Luiz Miguel Furtado Barbosa was bitten by the animal on Sunday (23), could not resist and died this Tuesday.
The boy, who on the same day had been sent by ambulance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), was hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital das Clínicas de Botucatu, also in the interior of São Paulo, where his last two days of life.

The city hall, because it is a son of the city, spoke on the social networks about the boy’s death. “The Municipality of Anhembi, extremely saddened, comes to offer its solidarity to the family of Luiz Miguel Furtado Barbosa, and decrees official mourning for three days”, informs the municipal administration in one of its social networks.
The City Council of the locality also published a note of condolence, expressing sadness for the boy’s death. “With deep sadness, the City Council expresses its sorrow for the death of little Luiz Miguel Furtado Barbosa. May the Holy Spirit Comforter comfort the hearts of your parents and family.”
