The report indicated that the Golden Residency Program was introduced by the UAE government with the aim of providing long-term residency permits that give its holder the opportunity to reside in the country without the need for a guarantor within the country. The golden residency is issued for a period of 5 or 10 years, depending on the category.
The digital government has identified seven exclusive benefits enjoyed by the Golden Residency holder, including: a multiple-entry visa for a period of 6 months to complete the Golden Residency procedures, a renewable 5- or 10-year residence visa, the Golden Residency holder can stay outside the UAE for a period exceeding 6 months, no need to… Because there is a guarantor within the country, it allows for the issuance of residence permits to members of the foreigner’s family, including the spouse and children. There is no maximum limit on the number of support service workers who can be recruited. Family members can remain in the country for the duration of their residency, in the event of the death of the breadwinner who holds golden residency.
The Digital Government report stated that the requirements for a golden residency visa depend on the category the applicant falls under, whether he is within the category of investors, talents, or entrepreneurs.
For those who invest in a public investment fund, they are eligible to obtain a 10-year golden residence visa without a guarantor, on the conditions of bringing a letter from an approved investment fund in the country stating that there is a deposit of 2 million dirhams, bringing a valid commercial or industrial license with the company’s articles of incorporation that Shows that the share of capital invested in it is not less than 2 million dirhams, bringing a letter from the Federal Tax Authority stating that he is an owner or partner in an establishment that pays tax to the government, and his share contribution to the tax is not less than 250 thousand dirhams annually.

For those who own a property or a group of properties, they may obtain a golden residence visa for a period of 5 years, renewable under the same conditions and without the need for a guarantor, after meeting the requirements.
A 5-year golden residence visa can be obtained if the person is an entrepreneur and owns an economic project of a technical or future nature that relies on risks and innovation.
Those with rare talents and specializations can also obtain golden residency, and this category includes doctors, scientists, creative people of culture and art, inventors, executives, specialists in priority scientific fields, athletes, holders of doctoral degrees, and other people with specializations.
Eligible categories also include specialists in the fields of engineering and science, brilliant students, high school students, UAE university students, foreign university students, humanitarian pioneers, and workers on the first line of defense.

The digital government indicated that the comprehensive “one-touch” golden residency service has been launched to make it easier for customers to submit and renew golden residency requests with ease, and to save their time and effort.
She stated that the comprehensive service for golden residency aims to reduce distances and unify them through integrated packages to complete the application for candidacy for golden residency, issue a visa, settle the situation, and issue residency and identity cards with the possibility of renewing them in just one step.
