The Ministry of Education has set seven dates for conducting teacher licensing tests, starting from the last quarter of the current year until the middle of next year. Any violations or legal issues, given that the license is mandatory in order to be able to practice the profession.
In the exams schedule, teachers at all educational levels will take the first exam during the new academic year on October 16, and registration ends on September 16. The test will be professional, targeting teachers of the second and third cycles and early childhood, in addition to labs of Arabic, mathematics, English, Arabic, physical education, biology, chemistry and physics.
The Ministry will also hold the second test in the current academic year on December 18, and registration ends on November 18, targeting teachers of Arabic, English, mathematics and science.
The ministry will organize five exams next year, starting on January 22, 2023, and registration ending on December 22. This test targets school leaders and teachers of special education specialists, in addition to teachers of all circles in science and technology, business administration, Arabic for non-native speakers, as well as professional tests in early childhood. An exam will be held on February 15 for teachers of the second and third cycles for teachers of Arabic and English, mathematics and science, and registration ends on January 15.
On March 12, the fifth test for the current academic year will be held, targeting school leaders and middle leaders, and teachers of social studies, Islamic education, and health sciences. The sixth test is organized by the ministry on April 26, and targets laboratory custodians as well as teachers of science and technology, physical education, and early childhood. The last test will be held on June 25, and is aimed at teachers of all circles and special education specialists.
The educational professions licenses are divided into three types, the “Teacher License”, and they target all teachers of academic, vocational and language subjects. The second and third licenses are the “School Leaders License”, which targets principals and their deputies, and the “School Professions License”, which targets librarians, learning resource centers, laboratory custodians, teacher assistants, academic and professional advisors, guidance and counseling specialists, in addition to the School Professions License for People of Determination.
The Ministry has identified eight goals that reflect the importance of licensing educational professions: achieving international standards in education, shedding light on distinguished competencies in the educational field, continuous development of the teacher and raising the level of his competencies, and raising the level of students’ performance in light of the best modern and global practices. Investing distinguished students in supporting the educational process and pushing teachers to be creative in their fields of specialization.
