Ferrari, Lamborghini and Isotta Fraschini play at home
After the surprising start to the season in Qatar at the beginning of March the WEC returns to be the protagonist with the appointment in Italy – brought forward to the 2nd round of the calendar – which from this year is scheduled in Imola and no longer in Monza. In Lusail the Porsche she made a loud statement by monopolizing the podium and there is great curiosity to see what her opponents' responses will be on the Santerno circuit.
In Qatar traffic characterized several phases of the race when the Hypercars had to lap the GT3s and in Imola this factor will be even more highlighted by the nature of the track which will make overtaking quite difficult. A response from Toyota is awaited Ferrarithe great protagonists of the 2023 season.
The Maranello Scuderia will not be the only one playing at home as from this year Lamborghini and Isotta Fraschini will also be competing in the Hypercar class. BMW, another company making its debut in the top class, has Raffaele Marciello in the car, while Valentino Rossi he will be engaged in the LMGT3 class.
