Returning to eating normally, after the body gets used to fasting during Ramadan and overeating during the holiday, becomes somewhat difficult, and eating 3 or more meals during the day may put pressure on the body after getting used to two meals. Here are some tips for maintaining a healthy diet, as mentioned by the Indian Health Shots website:
1- Breakfast:
It is difficult to return to breakfast every morning after the body has been accustomed to not eating it for a month. So, start by eating what you ate during Iftar in Ramadan: dates, yoghurt or juice, and then introduce other options over time, but do not neglect Iftar.
2- Suitable food:
Stay away from fried foods and ready-made, quick-prepared and spicy meals. Although it is important to avoid these foods in general, it is even more important after fasting, as the body is more susceptible to bloating and indigestion.
3- Water:
Make sure your body gets enough fluids, whether from water or juices, as they keep you full and suppress hunger.
4- Vegetables:
Make sure your meal contains vegetables and whole grains to obtain fiber and protein to avoid digestion problems.
5- Moderation:
You should not eat too much protein, even when eating healthy food, to maintain the health of your digestive system.
