3 ISIS militants killed in clash with Taliban

Three members of the terrorist organization ISIS were killed during a clash with the Taliban in the city of Herat, according to officials.
The Herat Police Command said in a statement that the clash took place in the western Afghan city when fighters of the new Taliban government surrounded the militants in a high-rise building.
Local residents reported hearing the sound of light and heavy weapons used in the fighting. Police added that three ISIS members were killed and two Taliban were wounded in the clash.
In turn, Ministry of Interior spokesman Qari Saeed Khosti announced on Twitter that the three members of ISIS were involved in major kidnappings across Herat Province.
“The special forces surrounded them and started shooting and the men were killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces,” Khosti added.
